RWR Summary Photo No 5 2014More than 100 participants helped make RMACL’s First Run Walk’n Roll FUNDraiser a great success!

Runners and walkers enjoyed 2 accessible course options through the scenic Harris Landing & Shoreline Park in Pitt Meadows. Even though the weather was a bit drizzly, the smiles on people’s faces as they crossed the finish line truly lit up the city. We believe that we achieved our vision of creating an event that promoted full inclusion and healthy living. We saw participants of all ages and abilities enjoying the event with friends, family and community members. Participants enjoyed fresh fruit and granola bars at the finish line and they also took home a race shirt, participation ribbon and a swag bag. After the run everyone enjoyed some family fun activities and a variety of door prizes and raffle draws.

We were so pleased to have the support of many volunteers to help make the day run so smoothly. Thank you to Target, Pitt Meadows Secondary Special Ed Class, Deb Walters (Pitt Meadows Mayor) as well as several CLBC & RMACL staff.
