Run Walk’n Roll a Great Success
The 2015 Run Walk’n Roll Committee would like to thank everyone for making our 2nd
Annual event held on May 24th a great success! This year we had over 130 participants and close to 30 volunteers.
Runners and walkers were able to choose from 2 accessible course options through the scenic Harris Landing & Shoreline Park in Pitt Meadows. The weather was perfect and participants of all ages and abilities enjoyed the morning with friends, family and community members. There were also plenty of additional activities such as a bouncy castle, children’s games, door prizes and raffle draws. The final amount has not yet tallied but we are very pleased to report that a healthy amount of funds have been raised to support our Family Support Program.
The support of our volunteers who helped make the day run smoothly was trulyappreciated. A special thank you goes out to the Pitt Meadows Secondary Special Education Class, Ed Pierre (Former Chief of the Katzie First Nations), John Becker (Mayor of Pitt Meadows), Nicole Read (Mayor of Maple Ridge), as well as several CLBC & RMACL staff.
