messy-paintJoin us as Friday November 18, 2016 from 930am to 11am at RMACL’s Vicuna art studio located at #1 – 11491 Kingston Street, Maple Ridge to hear from Ilse Phillips, Director of Vicuna Art Studio.

Ilse has an extensive background as both an artist and a psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner and will share how art can play an integral therapeutic role in a child’s life.

Vicuna, is owned and operated by RMACL and is a full-service and inclusive art studio which hosts art shows and events throughout the year. Samples of artwork will be shared and Ilse will provide helpful and inspiring information about the value of art. Come prepared to roll up your sleeves; there will be a fun hands-on activity. New parents are always welcome!

It’s all about Connections is a support and Information Group for parents who have a child with extra support needs. We meet regularly during the school year and have an annual summer picnic. Our goal is to support families while providing opportunities to meet other parents and hear from a variety of professionals while in a safe, comfortable environment. This group is facilitated by Tracy Hewgill, Family Support Coordinator, Ridge Meadows Association for Community Living
