Art in the Park

Once again Vicuña Art Studio had the privilege of painting a piano for the “Art in the Park” event held at the Memorial Peace Park in downtown Maple Ridge. The piano is brought to Maple Ridge at the request of the City and the Downtown Maple Ridge Business Improvement Association to help cultivate community and enhance connectivity. It will remain on display and is available for playing until September.

This year the Vicuna Artists decided to celebrate Canada’s 150th birthday with a flag design and a patriotic feel. One Vicuna Artists advised that this one of the most important painting she has ever done. She is a proud Canadian and knows that the privileges and human rights she values as both a woman and a person with a disability really help her appreciate what it means to be Canadian.

The Vicuna artists encourage all members of the community to visit this year’s piano, play a tune and take a photo with this iconic tribute.
